“Thanks you for the excellent work you performed in the building of our deck. We are very pleased with the way it turned out. It is sturdy, elegant and a fine example of craftsmanship. We appreciate your attention to detail; the beveling of the edges that you did is a nice touch. The idea of the stainless steel fasteners was a good one too, in that they will help ensure that our new deck will last for a long time and be virtually maintenance free. With the substantial nature of your design, we are not surprised that the inspector approved it without any changes.
Even though I have always heard that projects such as these always take twice as long and are twice as expensive as planned, the deck wa finished when you told us that it would be and actually turned out to be less expensive than originally projected. We are also happy that our backyard looks like it did before the construction began, except, of course there is now a new beautiful deck in place of the old eyesore that once occupied that space. You even took care not to damage those plants that were in the way.
